Turf Arrives for Installation of Bossu Field

While months of excavation and foundation work have been sure signs of progress, arrival of the turf this morning marks the beginning of the final phase of field construction.  Students in first period classes may have occasionally glanced out the window to notice the unloading of the rolls of turf that will become Bossu Field during the next few weeks.

Football players look forward to breaking in the new field on June 6 at the first of the team's summer practices.

Bengals Busy as May Begins

The last two weeks have been a busy time for football players at Benedictine.  Last week, coaches met with players to review schedules for the summer and send information packets home to families, and during the last two weeks, students have seen a parade of college coaches stopping at school to speak with rising seniors.

Most importantly, though, players have maintained focus, and are continuing their hard work in our off-season strength and conditioning program.  Highlights from Monday's work-out include:

Rising Junior, Nick DiGeronimo, and rising Senior, Jovon Dawson, squatting:

Rising Senior, Chris Azzarello, working on upright rows:

Rising Sophomore, Jerome Baker, and rising Senior, Marshall Howell competing against other groups on bench jumps:
