Football Camps
During the summer, there are many opportunities for student-athletes to attend football camps run by college football programs. These camps can offer great opportunities to learn from outstanding coaches, encounter excellent competition, showcase talents, and visit college campuses.
In general, camps lasting several days that are open to underclassmen focus on instruction while one-day camps targeting seniors and juniors focus on evaluation. Rising seniors planning to play college football should attend several of the one-day evaluation camps in June. Most camps are run by one university, but coaches from around the region and working at all levels of college football attend and evaluate players. Players attending these camps should view them as try-outs and prepare accordingly.
Please also remember, that D-I college coaches cannot attend privately-run “combines”; this is important because it means that the camps at college campuses are the real location for evaluation.
